System performance decline

I have a system as follows

CPU : Intel Core i5 750 Lynnfield
MB : ASUS P7P55D-E
RAM : DDR3 4gig Patriot 1600LL Series
GFX : Crossfire 5870 + 5850 Radeon HD Series

When first installing everything, I was getting a score of around 7700 on 3Dmark 11 freeware version. I noticed recently my performance was lacking, so I checked again and it has dropped to 5000. I reformatted my PC and the result is the same.

Basically, do you know of any specific software I should use that can auto optimise my system? Paid or Free.

Sounds like an overclock has gone back to stock. Might want to load up CPU-Z and have a look.

Do not install any "system optimisation" software. At best these are a placebo, at worst spy/scareware, paid for or not. Investigate clocks first

Could be that CPU/GPU is overheating and throttling back. Check your temps.
