OK, I'm going to be buying a new pc, for gaming, from OCUK in a month or so. I was hoping that you guys could tell me when you think of these specs from one of their pre-built systems.

- Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 GO 2.40GHz Quad Core CPU Overclocked to 3.2GHz
- Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Intel approved cooler
- Arctic Silver 5 Heatsink compound
- Abit IP35-Pro XE Intel P35 (Socket LGA775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
- Award winning GeIL Black Dragon 4GB PC2-8500 CAS5 (4x1GB) Dual Channel Kit (Overclocked at 1000MHz+)
- 500GB Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 32MB Cache SATA-II Hard Drive
- NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GX2 1024MB GDDR3 AVIVO HDTV/Dual DVI/HDMI (PCI-Express) DirectX 10 Graphics Cards
- Pioneer DVR-216DBK 20x DVD±RW SATA Dual Layer ReWriter (Black)
- Corsair TX 650W Next Generation Power Supply

I all sounds good to me but could you tell me if it will be able to run the latest games, eg crysis, world in conflict, etc... on good detail setting with good fps?
Thanks :D

i'd swap the processor to the standard q6600 not one of the "guaranteed to run at ..." ones.

maybe swap the mobo for one of the asus p5q p45 ones.

memory wise go for the pc6400 version of the black dragon, will help clock the q6600 to 3.6.

and i'd go for a 4870 1gb version.

edit:

i'd also consider changing the cooler to Xigmatek HDT-S1283 with the Crossbow motherboard backplate.

It's a pre-built and overclocked though so I don't suppose you can. I'd agree with your changes if Rage474 is building himself thought. :)

Rage474 - it is a pretty decent system and will be fine for most games, you might not be able to run Crysis at the highest settings but I suspect most systems would still struggle with it anyway. It should be fine at slightly less than the highest mind.

It could be worth considering building by yourself, it isn't hard to do.
