Does anyone know how I could change the speed/turn off and on the system power fans on my gigabyte 790XTA-UD4? I have tried speed fan and it doesn't seem to have any effect. Is there a setting I need to change in the bios? Thanks.

the setting in bios will probably be called something like smartfan or similar, not sure of the bios in that mobo but it will be in the same place if the board has the option in the same bios page as the cpu smartfan controls :)

from checking gigabytes webpage it may be called CPU/System fan speed control in bios :)

hope this helps

Have you got a case fan or power supply fan connected to the "System Power fan"connector?
System power fan is just a fancy name for case fan.
Most Gigabyte boards will not let you have any control over "system"fans.
There is no system power fan.
There is PWR(connect a fan to that(case fan)
Sys fan1, Sys Fan2.
Sytem Smart fan controlconly contols Sys fan 1 fan.
Same on my 790X UD4P.
No control over sys fan 2 or pwr fan.

That is just the answer I was looking for. Thanks :)
