Hi Guys
Woke up this morning to a dead PC.
When I hit the power on button the machine shows life, the cpu/gpu/case fans begin to spin for approx 1-2 secs then the machine turns off.
If I don't turn it off on the PSU switch this process repeats. At this stage I am unsure what it could be.
Currently my suspicions are lying with the PSU/MOBO. The GPU is a brand new 7970 which I picked up from OCUK about a week ago. The remainder is a year old and based upon a gigabyte z68 mobo with an oc'd i5 2500k.
Any suggestions on what the issue could be. I was thinking of removing the GPU and seeing if it would actually get to the POST process with it absent to rule it out. Unfortunately my old GPU isn't at hand to pop back in.
Thanks in advance.
edit - gpu removed makes no odds. still the same wont get to POST for error.
