System random crashes

Right i've had this happen for the past few months and it's starting to bug me now.

The system will randomly freeze, both on desktop and in game which I presume rules out the GPU. It does this even with everything at stock.

Latest windows 8.1 install with AMD 14.6 drivers, 4770k, 8GB 2400 Teamgroup and a Gigabyte Z87X-OC plus 2 or 3 reference 290

I can't seem to find any cause for it however the Event log is full of errors here and there which include:-

Service Control Manager - The Intel(R) HD Graphics Control Panel Service service terminated with the following error:
Unspecified error
Bug Check - The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0xa0000001 (0x0000000000000005, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: .
Bug Check - Unable to produce a minidump file from the full dump file.
Kernal PnP - The driver \Driver\WudfRd failed to load for the device USB\VID_0421&PID_0661&MI_00\6&30d0975f&0&0000.
Display driver amdkmdap stopped responding and has successfully recovered.

These errors happen every 20 or so mins, all day, every day.

Does this mean my CPU is on it's way out or something?

In addition when the system freezes it doesn't respond to the reset button. I have to hold down power.

Plus on some start ups the system will hang for a good 5-10 seconds on the desktop with the start button not working

Sounds like a USB driver problem, have you tried removing all USB items and testing it?

what bios version you using?

Yep tried removing all USB stuff and it still happens

Just going to use that bios now and see if that helps

No such luck, new bios on, everything at stock with the CPU running prime95 and the GPUs mining

Blue screen = Machine Check Exception

Just running prime, the system freezes on desktop. Can't restart using reset button, have to hold down power again.

Have you tried reinstalling the drivers?

0xa0000001 can be gpu driver related also from what google says

so did a fresh install of Windows 8.1 and it seemed ok for a while however the desktop still freezes at random times.

This is the main error now

I've tried both 14.4, 14.6 and 14.7 but they all seem to do it.

13.12 seem 'ok'

i'm just going to cope with it until X99 comes out and replace the CPU, motherboard and memory.

Mem test on both sticks is fine. It could be the CPU but I switched over to a Celeron and the system still froze so..
