System re-booting

I added more RAM to my system, but system now re-boots itself as soon as I click on my Windows account. I've taken out the new new memory and put back the old and I've also re-installed Windows but still re-boots. Only works (so far) in Safe mode.

Only other thing I've added lately (and then deleted) is the DIRT demo.

Further update, now got BSOD with the following:

STOP: 0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0xBF801F79, 0xBA054C44, 0x00000000)

win32k.sys - Address BF801F79 base at BF800000, DateStamp 45f013f6

Any help gratefully received.

Latest update:

Re-installed Windows XP Home, no problems until I tried to install Catalyst 7.6 drivers then re-boot problems start again. Could this mean my graphics card is kaput?

Just run Memtest;

Old mem stick = 1 error
New mem stick = 10 errors!

Needless to say, the memory will be going back for replacement.
