Hey guys, just a small query, I built a PC for someone a while back, it all ran fine and well, no issues, then last week suddenly popped up an ntoskrnl.exe error upon startup which I fixed by extracting the files back from the XP cd, a few days later it started rolling restarting, got to the Windows XP "F8" screen, whatever option you select it would start rolling again, back to there, restart, back to there, restart.
I rolled back his system last night with his Norton Ghost backups and by the time the morning came it had crashed out of windows, and got itself back into this continuous cycle.
He is currently rolling back to an earlier image form April when the system was changed from Vista to XP Pro x86, so going to see how this goes. But would you guys, from experience say this issue is hardware of software based? Normally I'm on the ball with this sort of thing, but he's using the pc to write a book at the minute, I'm having to work every day and live quite a way from him!
Any ideas greatfully recieved.
Cheers
