Largely depends on your system specs, what are they?
Shouldnt take much more than an hour though even with ageing system

hi i5 430m 4gb ddr3. only week old. been going for three hours now. just says 'system is now recovering' progress bar keep moving and starting again. take its not really good to just power off ?
