System Restore Points

For the past few weeks my restore points have been deleted. I have no idea how, but they have been. This is extremely annoying because I've encountered errors in the past few days and had to do a few system restores to recover and fix the problems.

Does anyone know why they keep getting deleted?

I have noticed it happens when I defrag my system and then reboot my computer but I can't see how this would delete restore points.

Size of my system restore points at the moment is 1.1GB
Size I've set for my restore points is 30GB
Not sure about that, I don't think so though, any way I can check?
I run diskcleaner, CCleaner, and smart defrag
Not sure what you mean, I just go into accessories and use disk cleanup from there
Yeah it's been on since I had the computer
Hard drive size is 400GB for C drive

Disk cleanup isn't set to delete restore points.
CCleaner isn't either as far as I know (any idea where this is listed, I can't see it in the program).
Smart defrag - no idea how to configure it to leave the system restore alone, to be honest I think this is the problem, I've ran all the system cleaners and my restore points were untouched but if I defrag my system with "Smart Defrag" my restore points seem to disappear (I think it's this anyway).

Right after googling a bit, apparentely when I do the "defrag and optimize" option with Smartdefrag it deletes system restore points..which is stupid!

I guess I won't do it anymore, but do you know any programs that will optimise and defrag my system without deleting restore points?
