Hi,
Current system in the signature.
Until recently this system has been fine for my use, browsing and gaming (WOW and Blops/MW3).
However it seems to ground to a halt even in windows it seems to take an age to do anything.
I have noticed this more in the games I play, WOW is now getting unplayable. I did SHA today and I was on 1 fps till it died.
System used to be fine in 25 man raids.
BloPs I am now only getting around 16 fps on average settings
I have lowered settings down to good and lower and still poor. I have noticed some white sparkles when flying around in WoW. Was not putting this down to overheating as temp on GFX card (not clocked) is around 45c idle which seems normal.
I have;
My screen is only at 1680x1050 so not really high resolution.
I am about to take apart to look at cleaning inside but I did that not too long again so don't think its overheating.
Any ideas on what it can be?
(I am looking to upgrade all components when funds allow but wanted to pass this one onto son for Minecraft and to connect up his Xbox360 PVR)

I have;
- Anti-Virus scanned (more than one) and its clean
- De-fragmented the system HD
- Run windows benchmarks, get 7.1/7.1/7.7/5.9 (7.7 for gfx card)
- Turned off card overclock (it was enabled in Catalyst control even though I don't recall enabling)
