I know there's a number of System Shock 2 fans on these boards, since every mention of Bioshock seems to bring out the SS2 fans too. 
I too was a huge SS2 fan, and have recently found my original disk. I haven't played this since it came out, so can someone with recent knowledge of it point me to the best patches and\or mods for it? I seem to remember someone mentioning a texture pack mod for it a while back. Also, it's installing now, but I haven't tried it yet; Are there any issues with playing it on XP and if so where is the best place to find solutions. Thanks all.
