system shuts down after post

I have upgraded my system today, got 6gb more ram, a new case, one h100, another ssd and a 680.
After installing everything, the system shuts down few seconds in post. My power supply is an ocz 700w. My previous card was a 480. I have put the old card back in, removed the ram and the new ssd and I still get the same issue. I have tried clearing cmos and this still happens even without the overclock.
Any ideas?

You sure the CPU fan is spinning up? Also checked everything is plugged back into the mobo correctly? Did you use stand-offs in the new case - and have you checked nothing is touching the mobo and causing a short somewhere?

I've had similar issues in the past - usually caused by doing something silly in my haste to see my new kit in action

cpu fans are spinning properly, i will recheck the mobo and check for any shorts now.
so annoying

Check that you have all the power connections to the motherboard and they are secure, including the 4/8pin CPU power connector.
