System Space?

just formatted my harddrives and a large chunk of them is taken up by system space. can i do anyyhing to get rid of it

You could try a low level format.

How much space and how big is the drive? Remember when you format, the data is not deleted, it is compressed.

i would guess about 30gig on a 300gig drive. whats a low level format?
