Hey,

What do you think, are these bits good for a 3.6Ghz overclock ?

Thanks

3.6 ghz is asking for a lot!! i have a e6600 (2.4ghz) and it wont hit 3.6ghz no matter what :( I think 3.2ghz should be nice and easy and with a 1:1 divider keep your ram at stock settings.

I would go for 800mhz ram. the giel 2gb 800mhz is good I have it after being recommended it by many.
The motherboard there is very good.

hope this helps :p

I'd have to say I agree, 3.6ghz is asking a lot from one of them. If your on water or phase you might be able to do it. IF you manage to get a d9 chip in those Crucial rams you should be able to hit 1200mzh easily, thats only IF, as i understand it there are two different chips they use. for a safer option gor for 800mzh stuff, you can get a good set for around that price.

hehe, I guessed 3.6 is probably asking a lot, but I'm gonna try :D

I've been told the Ballistix 5300 can run at phenomenal speeds, 900MHz+ with just slightly looser timings, even tho its marked up as PC5300, so i may stick with it unless otherwise persuaded.

Thanks :)

Have had only 2 of the roughly 20+ E6400 cpus thats passed though my hands hit 3.6 or more. Definetly asking for a lot especially if on air cooling.

Maybe my 3.6 Ghz dream was a little ambitious lol, still, what's feasably possible with this sort of kit, would 3.4 be asking too much still ?

Si :)

my ram timings are 4-4-4-12 T1 @ 425mhz

the ram was the ocz ati stuff.. i was gonna complain about it as its advertises 4-4-4-12 but the sticker says 4-4-4-15.. but it runs perfect. get a nb cooler though as u will need it for any o/c

Mine just about hits 3.6ghz (E6300), but am at *** limits of cooling (lapped tuniq, liquid metal paste).

But using my team ram @ 500mhz (4-4-3-4 @3.4V), it still flys at 3.5ghz.
