Hi guys,

Basically after building a system a couple of years back, doing some overclocking and then being out the country for a while I've lost track of what is good/bad setup for a rig for my g/f, I need some help!.

the only things it has to be/do are Midi ATX case, play Wow and games fine (at least 1gb RAM?), and some photochopping, all gotta be around £300-400 inc VAT.

atm shes got a Dell 2350 :(

Cheers
TYIA

Powerful CPU but smaller hard drive, weaker PSU. Note that the 7300 GT isn't exactly fastest card in the world but it is good enough for reasonable settings in WoW at say... 1280 x 1024. There is also quite a big diff in performance between the DDR3 and DDR2 versions so becareful what you buy :)

nice specs tetras

i would add that as the conroe 2 is the better of the two for an extra 50 quid she can get the 7600 gpu which is a lot of better then the 7300...

i do know your on a budget tho...

that could keep a family of four afloat in third world countries for at a month ;)

back to the point, if I could raise the extra £30 I would and get the 7600 with the conroe system as you dont wanna end up having to fork out another £80 a few weeks later cuz the 7300 is not good enough.....so actually 30 quid is cheaper then 80 :)
