System/temp monitoring tools

Morning all,

At the weekend (if my parts arrive in time) i am going to be rebuilding my PC, and overclocking it. Once up and running im looking for something fairliy lightweight Ican put on my side screen while gaming that will report all important temps etc so I can keep an eye on things while playing.

Anyone got any good reccomendations?

you mean on a seperate (2nd monitor) side screen or as a overlay type thing?

Yes on my side screen i meant, so I can load it up, play say BF3 for a few hours and continue to check out all the temps/loads etc.

I use windows gadgets on my second monitor.

CPU Meter
GPU Meter
Drives Meter
Network Meter

The temps are powered by CoreTemp

Great thanks, do you find they use much from a resource perspective?

About 200MB RAM at max on win 7.

I forgot about these, even though they're on my screen

I leave on them all the time, performance hit is negligible

Speedfan uses 17.8mb of RAM, occasionally uses 1% of the cpu. So nothing really....and it's free

I use open hardware monitor which is very good.

I'm sorry but you have an i5 at 4GHz, and i doubt your gonna be using more than 3GB of ram at one time unless you have virtual machines open, resource perspective?!? ^.^
