System temps up...

I recently upgraded my case to allow for future upgrades and the intoduction of an 8800GTX. So I opted for a full tower and bought the Thermaltake VA9000SWA Kandalf. Have to say it's a lovely case and everything fits in sweetly with enough room for a GTX. However, here lays the problem.

All that space has meant that the system temps have soared up to around 47 - 49. I'm not sure if this sounds right? This doesn't change much whether on load or not.

Now i'm wondering if this is because the 120mm intake fan is further forward, the cooler air isn't reaching the chip set.

I thought about introducing another 120mm fan to the front, or some how place a fan near the chipset.

Any recommendations or help would be welcome.

Thanks

I found the same when i moved to using a Akasa Eclipse case, it seemed that there was too much space and the airflow around the cpu was poor. I have found that using 38mm thick 120mm fans on both intake and outake is better as they seem to move the air around with greater force and I can actually feel the air flow in the CPU area now.
