I am not sure what the problem is, I am not overclocking at all nor am I even touching the bios. When I am in windows, its fine and it stays up, but my computer just takes an age to get there because of the repeating times it takes stopping and starting.

If anyone knows the problem, any suggestions on how to fix it as its becoming a pain!

Thanks guys.

My bios settings are set to default values, as I said not touched anything : )

Asus mobo??

If spread spectrum is on auto, change to enabled

Also try enable wake on by pcie, in apm section in your bios.

I would say that it might be a cold boot problem because of overclocking, but if the BIOS is all at default, then i am slightly stumped.

Anyone else have any ideas ? Must be a soulution! : /

The options that have been suggested may still work so give em a try it just a problem thats more ossociated with asus boards. It can also be ram related so as suggested above find the specs for your ram and enter them manually, speed timmings and volts.

I will give it ago, firstly I am going to try updating bios because i noticed even though my O.C Genie button is not toggled (no light is showing) my bios defaults to it being enabled which is rather strange.

I will try updating bios and adjusting the settings you mentioned and see what happens!

This happened to me a few years ago. Problem was asus kt7a raid (or similar name) motherboard, and not installing some driver during windows installation. But you know computers and software, could be a million things :)

Was having same issue with my msi z77a-gd65 but it seems to have been memory instability even though it was stable under prime. For now I've turned my mem back to default values and that has cured it. Does your mobo have a bios fault code reading, what does it display just before it reboots again 55, 49, 19 or 20 by any chance?
