System upgrade advice plz

looking for more gaming power fps/rez.Big Planetside 2 fan so looking for something to play high end games.should add i have a benq 144hz 24" monitor to replace my samsung on order from OCUK.my current speccy specs are:

i have a nice CM Stacker case and the PSU is a Seasonic 650 watt 80 plus? not sure what 80 plus means tbh?
So id love to be able to play PS2 on ultra graphics at 120 fps lols what sort of upgrades might i need to boost my rig as currently mostly med settings getting about 20 to 50 i think.
I was thinking of upgrading GPU something like gtx770,but will i just be cpu bound in PS2? budget 250-500 maybe go little more any advice appreciated thanks
ps prob need to upgrade OS as i have replaced the mobo twice now and it wont recognise it? not sure on that one doh

no point in paying for 2666mhz ram if your board cant use it and you are not overclocking it
Support for DDR3 2133/1866/1600/1333/1066 MHz memory modules
yes you can use that 2666 you want and change the xmp in the bios to the 2133 speed
id go for these mate, they are low profile and slightly better timings

so is a r9 280x a better performance than a gtx770? i guess seeing as this mobo has xfire support prob worth going radeon route?
On that note any good xfire posts worth reading up on?

Yeah it is, it's also newer tech and has 3gb vram which is actually nice to have even at 1080p.(Rome 2/BF4 have used over 2gb for me at 1080p)

Crossfire/SLI is good but make sure you have a nice case for it.(yours should be fine)
