I need to upgrade my current pc with some games like bf4 loading up the cores and the RAM getting maxed out. So i need to spend some money somewhere, and my old q6600 is showing its age now.
these are my current specs:
Q6600 : 3.2ghz
4gb RAM
SSD
650 true power PSU
ATI HD6870
my plan is up just upgrade the core mobo, CPU/RAM and leave the gfx for later as i just cant afford to do it all in one go
so i was thinking of going along these lines
YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i5-4670K 3.40GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - OEM £161.99
1 x Gigabyte Z87-HD3 Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard £82.99
1 x TeamGroup Vulcan ORANGE 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-19200C11 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit (TLAD38G2400HC11CDC01) £55.99
1 x Alpenföhn Matterhorn Pure Edition CPU Cooler £29.99
Total : £340.56 (includes shipping : £8.00).

obviously i am going to keep the PSU GFX and SSD from my old build, i will also be planning on overclocking the cpu as well.
Will i be better spending more on the motherboard? or will the hd3 be enough? i will only ever running single gfx cards, and i cant see what more i would gain by spending more??
I was planning to spend around the £350 mark so this come in about right.
any advice or pointers would be very much appreciated.
