It's time for me to upgrade my system, and since everyone is talking about Sandy Bridge, that's the way I want to go.
My current setup is as follows......

Q6600 Kentsfield Overclocked to 3GHz
Titan Fenrir CPU Cooler (Keeping my CPU temp. in the mid 20's)
Asus P5K
HIS Radeon HD 4870
Vortexx Neo GPU Cooler
WD Velociraptor (Windows7 + Games)
Samsung 500GB (Data)
Antec 900-2 Case
Jeantech 700W (I think) PSU

This is what I plan to buy next month......

Core i5 2500k
Noctua NH-U12P CPU Cooler (Unless my Titan Fenrir will fit)
Asus Sabertooth P67
2x Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3 1600MHz
2x WD 1TB HDD
Radeon HD 6870

I'll keep the Velociraptor for Windows and Games, but i'll stick all my data on 2x 1TB drives in RAID 1.
I'm not too sure on the MoBo, everyone seems to be going with the P8P67, but I like the look of the Sabertooth.
I don't think the Titan Fenrir cooler will fit, if it does then great, if not, I like the look of the Noctua. Although it looks too big for my case.
Not sure on the RAM or the Graphics card, I'm hoping someone can give me some advice there. Also, I would like a nice cooler for whichever GPU I choose. I am wondering if it's worth upgrading the Antec fans that came with the case.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

If you got a Asrock Z68 board then you can keep your Titan fenrir, you can also get a adapter plate to make the Titan fenrir socket 1155/56 compatible if you dont have it?

Asrock boards have an additional four mounting holes for lga775 fitment.

You can see the holes next to each other for the different heatsinks.

This board has all the latest stuff etc.

And try RAM with low height heatspreaders - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-094-KS&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=1517

Get a decent PSU too!!!

There's plenty of cheaper 1600MHz RAM which will do just as good a job. New weekly offers are out tommorrow morning so have a look then.

If your Titan Fenrir has the S1156/S1155 fitting them you'll be OK otherwise you'll need a new cooler or buy an ASRock board which has holes for S775 coolers.

If you're buying the WD Green drives then get Samsung F3's as they're faster.

If you're buying the WD Black drives then get Samsung F3's as they're as fast and cheaper.
