As title suggests I have a system volume puzzle. I am using Vista HP and my HD is 500gig single volume. I noticed that with system restore activated the used space kept growing - true used space around 60 gig but with system restore activated that grew to around 110 gig.
I use Acronis TI 2009 as my backup solution which I find works flawlessly. As I use Acronis I didn't see a need to use system restore as well so I turned it off. The drive space immediately went back to around 60 gig. However, I have noticed that the volume has now grown to 105 gig again even though system restore is switched off. What on earth is going on? I have defragged the drive run AV etc.
