System wont boot, help please

Hello,

Got an old system here, AMD 1Ghz CPU not sure of the other parts.

A few weeks back it started making a loud sound like the the fan was failing.

I looked inside and everything seemed to be working fine. Hovered the system out to get rid of any dust.

System was fine for a week then the sound came back.

Now a problem has popped up. The system would not turn on untill u turned it on and off at the mains plug it has done this for about a week.

Now the system wont boot at all

Soon as it plugged into the mains the PSU fan starts spinning and thats it. Get no beeps or lights. Just the PSU fan spinning.

Pressing the on/off button on the case does nothing.

Any idea whats causing the problem ?

if your getting nothing at all, and I mean nothing zip, zero, nadda, then I think that the CPU is deaded...
