System wont boot with 2nd GPU

hey all,

2 x E5-2670v2
Intel s2600CP
64gb ddr3 ram
2 x gtx 1060

So my server isn't being used much at the moment and i thought i would install 2 x GTX 1060 that i have spare.

The MB supports gen3 PCIE x8, slot 3 is cpu1 and slot 5 is cpu 2, I believe these also have the 75w capability.

At first i couldn't get it to work at all, i updated my firmware and did some googling. I enabled MMIO and set size to 4g

Now with 1 gpu in slot 5 i can boot. With both gpus in the system just hangs on the first intel copyright screen. If i remove both card and just have 1 gpu in slot 3 it hangs and wont even get to the bios.

Any suggestions this is driving me crazy.

Sounds like slot 3 isn't behaving. This could be the PCIe lanes for that CPU. It's a faff, but you could swap the CPUs and see if the problem moves to slot 5.
