hi my system wont post when i put in a graphics card as in it makes no beeps but everything in case looks like its working and it shows no video the fans on gfx card are spinning fine..
I recently swapped out my old xfx 4870 1gb for a force3d 512mb 4870 graphics card reason for downgrade as i only play cs:s didnt need a high speced card..
When i had my old xfx 4870 it worked fine the system made one beep sound and came on video and everything i took it out and sold it and got a 4870 512mb and this one doesnt work.. when its plugged in the system doesnt make a beep sound when started and no video display, When i remove the card it makes the beep sound and boots..( Cant be sure it actually boots but sounds normal like before and looks normal )
Theres no lights on gfx card to show its working or not so dont know whats wrong. I think the card might be dead on arival but the card gets really hot after only 2mins of leaving it in even tho it doesnt do nothing!
Any help will be appricated, What do you think the problem is do you think the cards faulty or some thing else in system is shot.
My Rig..
Os: Windows Xp Home Edition sp3 fully legit and patched up.
Hard drive: 250gb western digital blue.. sata 8mb cache
PSU: CiT 700watt dual 12v rail.
Motherboard: MSI 770-c45
CPU: Amd phenom ii x4 955 Black Edition ( stock cooler and clock )
Ram: Kingston 1066 1gbx2 ddr3 ram
Fans: 3 Case Fans on molex.
Gfx card: Was 4870 1gb (Worked Fine made beep sound had video)
Now 4870 512mb.. Causes system not to post(make beep sound or load up)
