System won't POST after crash

I was playing TF2 last night, and my system suddenly lost power, and then came back on with the GPU fan at full throttle, but no display output, and seemingly no other activity. Since then I haven't been able to get it to POST at all. It starts up, and I hear a couple of beeps as normal, then the HDD light comes on, and I hear the HDD being accessed, after which the HDD goes silent, but the light still stays on, and nothing else happens (no signal on the monitor). Pressing the reset and power switches has no effect.

I've swapped out the graphics card, but it didn't change anything.

Can anyone help?

I'm using a P6T SE and an i7 920.

check your mobo manual, the beeps provide a ddescription of the issue in the manual as a kind of code. If you have a spare mobo etc id suggest trying each part in there to find the individual component

I had a very similar problem last weekend with my overclocked bundle from Overclockers. My PC died in Windows and just would not POST after that, even though I tried a different PSU, graphics card and memory. Overclockers and I concluded that the motherboard (similar to yours, but the P6TD Deluxe version) died.

It went back to Overclockers on Monday but I'm apparently not going to receive it until next Tuesday now unfortunately :( It's gonna be a long weekend.
