Hi All,
After purchasing a new cpu, mb and ram last week i put together my new system together and have had the following issue:
the cpu and gfx were from my old system and im not convinced they are working correctly but all went together ok powered up prime tested for an hour and half with cpu temps at 30c idle and 49c full load (watercooled) and it all seemed fine - fired up BFBC2 and had a bash of an hour or so online and all was fine. powered off and went to bed - this morning when i power on the fans spin, i get a grean light on the GFX card and the HD/CD spin up, light on motherboard comes on but no post, no beeps and no video output ?
System is not overclocked and i have tried reseting the bios, and removing the bios battery but still the same. I have a 430w spare psu which i have connected up but unsuprisingly i get a red light on the GFX and i get 1 long beep and 2 short beeps from the motherboard.
I RMA'd all 3 new components but the retailer has said no fault found and returned them - put them back in and have had exactly the same issue again.
without purchasing either another psu or graphics card does anyone have any ideas what might be causing this or how i can further diagnose what part might be the issue ?
