Hey all
im in serious trouble here atm my pc's rebooted and is giving me a Systems32\config is missing or corrupt error. Now ive spoken to sum people about it and they say i have to format the hard-drive which tbh i really dnt wanna do cause i have World of Warcraft and Aion (Open Beta Download). so does any1 have any idea of another way of fixing this without formatting the hard-drive ?

Thanks for any advice ya cant give

(Sry i think i posted this in the wrong thread before i didn't mean too :()

yeah My pc just does the same Circle atm Reboot -> Error -> Reboot -> Error and so on im not very good with computers so... i know how to enter the windows recovery console but ive looked it up on the net and its all over my head and i just really dnt know what 2 do atm :(.

Thanks for ya advice ive spoken to the tech guy where i work and he told me to get "Seagate" diagnostic program which i did and ive just scanned my hard-drive. I've done the 4 diagnostic tests:

1) Short Drive Self Test - Fail

2) Long Drive Self Test - Fail

3) Short Generic - Pass

4) Long Generic - Fail

The hard-drive i have is a Western Digital WCD WD3200AAKS-00B3A0. Having failed 3 of the 4 basic tests is it worth carrying on with the recovery / formatting the hard-drive? Also this is the 3rd different hard-drive i have had this happen too with the exact same problem...
Many Thanks
Krellor
