Hey, My brothers friend wants me to build him a computer that will play COD4. I was wondering if you guys would be able to help me out, hes got £370-400 for the base unit and that budget needs to include an OS. Thankyou!

Sorry i should have been more detailed.
Nothing else needed, just the base unit itself. Size is not an issue either. Thanks!

OS's can be had for £30-40 for Win7 with a valid student email account.
£450-470 is what I think it can be done for.

Thanks, although i still need to knock the price down a bit cause he really is stuck on £400 max.

if you only have that amount you could always get a asrock board there cheap but good. would knock it down a little but you cant really get any slower other things or it would not be worth getting with todays games

This is what I came up with. It's using practically the cheapest components available on OcUK yet will still do well. I would be suprised if this could be made cheaper on here, elsewhere though I'm pretty sure I could shave off about £20 tops.

If you have got a valid student email then remove windows 7 and purchase through Microsoft for £40, bringing the cost down even more ;)
