Systems Configurator?

I wanted a new computer built for me so I went to Overclockers system configurator but found hardly any of the parts I want are up for selection. Are the offered parts stuff Overclockers are trying to get rid of and that's why there is only a basic selection?

What parts were you after?

If you're not confident about building the system yourself you could ask for a system spec - outlining your needs, preferences and budget - and we would piece together components for you to consider (forum members not OcUK staff). You then ask OcUK to build the components into a complete system. They will charge a fee for this build service but you will get a bespoke build - which seems to be your want.

EDIT: You can also contact OcUK and request a specific change to one of their configured builds - if it's single part or two. Enquire in the customer services forum - Pre-Sales Enquiries...

I know the parts that I want. They are a basically a upgrade of the make and type that I already have, but the configurator doesn't offer most of the parts that I need, for instance I wanted this graphics card and motherboard.

I like the look of this case, but unfortunately it's not yet in stock.

And for storage I needed the M2 Samsung evo970 2TB.

You se my frustration with the Overclocker's configurator? :) It offers very few items I would consider buying.
I imagine they have most of these computers already built, thus the very limited selection. It would be nice though if you COULD actually have the computer built to your personal specs.

best way, put a build list together and link the code here, then created a thread on Customer Service section about having it built for you :)

ocuk bread and butter

AIO GPU is very nice! handy with 4 year warranty and @GIGA-Man rep on here, but with OCUK building it, shouldn't be needed :D

and the master board is HEAVY!

as for cases....

Yes, you have very quality/flagship core components - which they would probably find hard to push in their mainstream configured builds.

You don't need the advice of forum members for your build - you need a premium, almost niche, configurator. A 2TB M.2. I doubt crops up much...

With the few premium parts you listed above i suspect, very much, that OcUK would be interested in building a spec that you compile around a premium Coffe Lake build - contact them in Here in the Pre-Sales.

Thank you.
I am building this system around the new i9.
First thing is to get all my final choices linked, so I have something to give them. I wish that case was in stock though, I really like that Nuke-Coke NXZT case.

If your build is as premium as i think it's going to be they may be able to special order it in (if they can get it at all) - but it's scarce commodity, as it's EOL.

Just post in the pre-sales section on the forum, list what you want and OcUK will build it last I heard for a fixed fee.

Thanks you for all your answers.
I have decided to do it myself. I have built computers before without incident, it was just that this time with it being a top build for me, I was thinking of having it done professionally. I will just take my time and do it right. ;)

Even more of a reason to build the system yourself.

Especially with premium builds - better to know your components finer details of operation and setup - that way you avoid endless phonecalls/long trips if you're unlucky enough to receive an unstable unit.

Plus, if you have spare components - troubleshooting becomes a relative breeze (usually).
