Guys,

I have bought a SZ77R5 with a 3770k, now I understand the standard ICE system is sufficient to cool it, and I know you can get a 545LC from ebay, but could an aftermarket HSF be fitted and a 92mm fan fitted as an exhaust fan on the rear?

Guyyyysss, no one got one? I am also concerned about reading repots that some batches require you to fit a sandybridge cpu to update the bios :S I am hoping the latest batches are fixed in this regards..

I would think the standard ice system would be more than enough, the TPD on the 3770k is only 77W and the ice systemis rated to 95W and has been used to cool heavy OC's on sandy chips.
The ivy chipset only really gets hot when you push the OC really high, give it a whirl and see how it goes.
