I got this on release day and its real hard on the cpu. Good game though if you like the tank combat in Red Orchestra you'll be quite happy with this game. View distances are immense, game models are well textured and bump mapped intricately and the damage model is as complex as modern hardware will allow - the special PZGR HEAT rounds that the germans had for dealing with heavy tanks even follow a different flight path due to differences in weight. When your driver gets hit by a shell you'll certainly hear his screams
Infantry, planes and other lesser tanks also get a showing but you dont get to use them unfortuantely. AI is not too bad but you have no control over them which makes the coordinated strikes on the mission hit n miss. You get 6 missions per side so the game can be finished quite quickly, but a fully functional editor is shipped on the disk.
There is another tank game like this coming from the same publisher next week called Steel Fury that has 3 playable tanks, 30 missions, platoon controls and 3 more units available through a mod Russian players have already made. One thing though is that SF is only single player whereas T34 gives you full MP capacity!
