Hello all.

I've just finished installing a T-line into my system as I have been running a single bay repack res for a while and I find them impossible to bleed. The sloshing noise was driving me crazy so i decided to do somthing about it.

My question is this. Having always used res's to directly fill/bleed my system this is the first T-line installation, I'm not sure how far to fill it. At the moment the liquid is about an inch or two away from the t-connector, is this normal? or should i fill it right to the top? or doesn't it matter?

thanks
matt.

It will work at any height but you will have to top it up more often if it is low to start with. You will notice the extent of evaporation from a loop more now as the loss is shown easily in a narrow tube [especially compared to the other end of the scale which is a bay res where its horizontal CSA is massive and you wont notice the water loss]. Even in a totally sealed loop you will experience loss (permeates throughthe tube walls). Bottom line is top it up almost to the top.
