I'm in the Nottingham area using T-Mobile Pay as you go, if I have my phone set to both GSM and 3G I can't download MMS or use the internet, if I set it to GSM only I can, is anyone else having a problem with 3G atm?

I think its a general problem, ive had to switch my N95 from Dual to GSM so that i dont get network issues.

No problems for me on Tmobile 3G network...im in london so dont know if that helps...although the other day the network did go down for a bit.

same for me in notts also, it will get a 3g signal but sometimes its as though its disconnected and i cannot receive data or calls, if i switch to gprs its fine, very annoying to say the least paying extra for the web n walk and getting the slow speeds a mate i work with had the same problem and phoned them up and they waived the web n walk charge for 3 months. doesnt solve the issue though.

I had the exact same thing on my N95. Switching it to GSM has sorted it, its been fine ever since. It wasnt a problem where i live, but i dont get a 3G connection here, but whenever i was in Carlisle i just kept having network issues.

Have the problem in Bristol/Bath too, took me a while to figure out what it was. With dual on I often couldn't make calls or receive them with full signal, doesn't really affect me having it off though since I don't use it.

I've had the same problem with my N70 on t-mob. When i first got it, it worked fine on 3G but 2 months later 3G stopped working and i had to switch it to GSM. Works on GSM fine now although i do get the occasional missed text message.

so does any mobile experts know what is causing this and wether it will be an ongoing problem, ive had for the last year or so. With the selling of mobile broadband with 3G dongles all that bandwidth is just gonna get full surely?
