Hi guys,
I upgraded my contract from the 3gb package to the new "completely unlimited" package over the phone.

Since then I have noticed the speeds on my galaxy s 2 are very slow. Having done the speed test in multiple counties on a journey all with h. Or h+ the speeds are all 350kbps +/- 8 so it definitely seems to be capped.

Now I've phoned tech support twice and whilst they did the reset phone stuff, but they denied I was speed limited. The stuff they did didn't seem to help.

I then called the cancellations department and said I would cancel as I'm within the 7 days, but they swore blind that there was no cap.

Has anyone had any experience with this issue?

Also, the last guy I spoke to said I had 500mb downloads and unlimited browsing, which doesn't tie up with the retentions lady who said I had no fair use at all? Again any info on this?

Thanks a lot

would also like some info on this too, going for unlimited internet with them in a couple of days when i'm entitled to upgrade my phone as well.

when u say 350kbps that's like 35kb per second download speeds right? seems low!

i called them the other week about capped speeds, im on unlimited internet and so is the wife. Ours were capped at 350kbps too, the technical guy said that there are 2 'unlimited' internet packages, one 'truly' unlimited, which is capped but its supposed to be capped around 500kbps, and the other which is 500mb fup, but you can still browse when you hit 500mb.
The truly unlimited is capped as its being trialed across the network currently to see how it copes, so he told me. He removed the cap on mine and told me I will be on the 500mb fup now for full speed, I told him to leave my wifes as truly unlimited, its still capped, theres no truly unlimited, uncapped

45 mins on the phone getting passed to cancellations eventually as I said I wasn't happy, and I've now been uncapped. The guy I got put through was an English technical person and had exactly the knowledge and that I was capped at 384kbps he's raised it now and sent an email to other tech people to tell them how to do it. Apparently I'm definitely not download limited too which is good!

So I am now on truly unlimited uncapped (I think he said it may still be capped at 2mbps but I think that should be OK). Got this weekend to assess it and at worst can cancel on Monday within dsr time

nice to hear they fixed your speeds georges, hope I don't have any problem with them when I upgrade my phone/contract
