Just got my first bill for my new contract (after a week!) and aside from all of the complicated credits and stuff they put on there to confuse the issue, I have been billed for two things:

Firstly, data usage: On their site, it claims data is "75p" - no units given. I was clearly wrong to assume that was per Mb as it appears to be per 100kb - not a mistake I will make again, I assure you! (I will get that add-on if I want to use any data in future). My own fault, but still a little breathtaking!

Secondly, I have been billed for a call I made - its only 69p but I am fairly sure it should have been included in the FlexT allowance? It was a call to a mobile number on a weekend (the other calls made were free, only of short duration and in the week). Before I ring them up and complain, I just wanted to check there wasnt some oversight on my part - it does clearly state on their site that any calls to any network are included in the allowance.

Thirdly, I have been "Part billed" for a text message - its only a penny, but WTF? I just dont understand how I can be part billed for a text message and if I am, how the hell it isnt covered by an allowance?!

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Now im confused too, One thing i know is this - you dont get all your minutes the first month because you missed the "Bill Cycle date" or something like that, it will make sense from the next bill. :)

Looking at my bill, I was billed for the incomplete bit of the end of March, then for the month of April. The call that I was charged for (and the part-billed text) were on the 1st of April.

I am taking from this that April is the first "complete" month. I dont want to be billed for calls I make in April that I shouldnt be paying for!

EDIT: Oh and its not "minutes" as such, its a £90 allowance to spend as I please. (which will be £180 next month)

I think, when you get your contract you get just part of the deal not everything. The whole menu is served at the next cycle date, i would worry about it. If anything just dial 150 and speak to customer services.

I see what you are getting at. Next billing date I am moving contracts :p I dont want this fiasco to continue!

I fully intend to contact T-Mobile, I just wanted to be in full posession of the facts before sitting in another 15 minute queue ;)

I know there are some T-Mobile employees here who may or may not be able to steer me in the direction of an answer before I have to chat to another high-as-a-kite crazy Welsh woman! :p

Dont get me started on data.......
The call that charged is it a number youve called already (and has come out of your allowance?) or was it a one off?
The part charge TXT - never heard of it happening before - sorry, TXT should come out as a TXT

im not in work after collapsing - so cant check the internal pages to see if there are any issues, sorry :(

I called the number twice - once on the Thursday and once on the Saturday. First call was 3:21 and free, second call was 4:02 and was billed.

Next to the Thursday call it has "Free" in the type column yet by the Saturday call it doesnt, it has a diamond in the "Rate" column (meaning a weekend call, according to the legend)

I am reading this at the moment that weekend calls havnt been included?!

The part-charged text message reads:

Sat 1 Apr 17:55 <phone number> Pt free 0.001

The text above that was to the same number and was "Free" (as were all of the others). Just clocked that it is a tenth of a penny, but still, wtf?

EDIT: Collapsing? Hope you feel better soon!

Collapsing - way way way too much stress....

Silly question time, you do have an allowance left?
I cant do anything from home, but if it is a genuine issue a billing team should be able to credit the charge back onto your account. Bizarre that it works for a call, then charges for another - as far as I am aware the calls all come out the same 'pot' until the allowance is used then it reverts to the default rate

I started the contract on the 30th of March, sent just shy of 100 texts and made a whole 3 calls since then - Cant see the whole of my £90 allowance going that fast!

Moving to FlexT 35 next billing date so I want to get any allowance issues sorted now so I dont end up racking up some silly huge bill due to any mistakes I might have made!

I will ring them in the morning and see what is up :)

Hmm - 30th March join date? And its billed already?
It could well be the first allowance would have been a much smaller amount, then when its moved onto the full month the allowance would have reset - but without seeing the bill, couldnt say for sure.

Could have been, but the calls/text that was charges was charged on the 1st of the month, the new month which ought to have a full allowance!
