Hi all

I've recently rooted my HTC Desire and installed the Cyanogen ROM. In the Network Settings I want to re-enable Data Roaming so that I can use the Orange Network. I now have two options for Data Roaming and I'm wondering if anyone can help.

I've ticked the usual "Data Roaming - Connect to data services when roaming" option. Do I also tick the "National Data Roaming" option?

It says that "this will allow you to use a different network provider in your country". But on the T-Mobile site, it only says to enable "Data Roaming".

Any ideas?

Thanks. :)

I have national data roaming enabled to make mine work, and it certainly doesn't roam data on other networks (ie It won't use data on a Vodafone connection if T-mob/Orange has no signal)

I've found it a bit hit and miss, sometimes I need to disable and re enable data to make it connect because the management of which of the two networks it uses is a bit naff at times.

It won't hurt, o2/voda/three reject join requests from you anyway ;)

To explain how the network share works for ora/t-m:

Your master network is always your first choice until it's lost and the secondary is chosen but your phone will not automatically switch back until the secondary signal is lost or the signal check happens (think this is set to 30 minute pulses). If after a few checks it can't find the primary then it will stop searching and will stay on the secondary until it loses it before searching again.
