It might interest you that they have a tariff which gives you unlimited texts and Internet if you top-up £10 a month (the freebies will be available at teh start of the next calendar month). The switch can be done through calling 150 or via the My T-Mobile section on their site.
I spoke to a friend who works in a T-Mobile store, who told me it's limited to 3GB a month, but 'unlimited browsing', what ever that means
Well its my first smart phone so I don't really have anything to compare it with, for me its a great phone i'm amazed at what it can do for the price I got it for feels nice and responsive to. I haven't paid for the web bolt on yet only been using the internet via my wifi at home to install some free apps, looks a decent selection of them to.
To be honest if you top up a tenner now, you'll get unlimited internet and texts providing you top up a tenner a month. If you top up now the free internet and texts will start at the beginning of jan and you can use the credit top buy the internet boosters.
My quidco has tracked but at only £5, apparently this gets uplifted by t-mobile to £15 before its payable.
Does anyone know how this is done?
I.e does it depend on you actually using the t-mob sim for a certain period of time? As this phone (if I even use it) is going to be unlocked and stuck straight on another network.
EDIT: No matter, just seen the t-mob sim has to be active for 3 months to get the cashback, that's not a problem.
Mine came this morning. Been setting it up and everything is fine except the camera which seems to be stuck in really close focus. Holding the button won't change the focus and even other apps don't seem to be able to change it. The front camera works fine but that doesn't have an autofocus afaik.
Just had to put it on charge but as far as I can see there isn't a macro option, but that is exactly what its like. Very similar to my digital camera in macro mode, good quality at about 10cm but then out of focus after that.
Any other ideas?
Thanks mate but no nothing super daft I don't think. I just took the back off and looked at the camera which didn't seem to do anything when half pressing the picture key for autofocus. So I got a tooth pick and gently pressed it and it went in slightly then sprung back to its original position. However if I hold the lens down it seems to have a much longer focal point, so perhaps the motor controlling the lens is knackered?
