It's flext, not tflex.

And it's something you'd have to ask about when you changed to flext at the store you choose.

sorry

will go to a branch on the way to uni tomorrow

Its for new customers only so depends if they class the fact that you on PAYG as if you are a new customer to them. I would think they would get it as I would think they would actively want to move peeps from PAYG to Contract.

I would agree you are PAYG so you have no contract with them so taking out a contract will make you a new contract customer so should get the deal. However you wont easily be able to take your number with you.

I thought i would post into this thread istead of starting up a new one.

I have had a gander the the flext30 tarrif which i think suits my needs. Does the 25% discount last for life or does it run out after the 18 months? Also, does this tarrif also work with data, so if you use the gprs then your text/talk time is reduced???

The 25% discount is for as long as you remain on Flext.
The current tariff doesnt include data, from the 1st April you can get an unlimed date bundle bolt on for £7.50 or a Web & Walk Flext that has it already built in

Ah, W&W Flext, that sounds like what i need. I shall have a looksie at that.

So am i correct in how flext works....

basically if you text loads this reduces the amount of free minutes, or if you talk loads this reduces the amount of free texts!?

You pay say £20 a month, T-Mobile give you for example £40 to spend in that month (in a nice big shiny pot!!) then its up to you how you spend it. Calls, TXT's, Picture Messages all come out of the monetary allowance - its all monetary based, so yes the more you TXT the less money will be left in the pot for voice calls, but you havent got the problem of using say a 100 txt allowance or 200 min allowance - its flexible for how you want to use it.

I assume that the W&W is a bolt on for Flext as i can't find Web & Walk Flext on their website. However, when i pick a plan it then asks me about addons for data/mms/sms.

Is that the same thing?

You wont until the 1st April :D
The addons mentioned are different to the April launch

I get ya! So i need to wait until April before i can get W&WFlext.

One question as i am gonna be moving from orange to t-mobile. I take it i just order the phone online with the plan i want, and then once i have received it and activated it i would then get the PAC from orange and give it to t-mob?

Oh this all new to me! I can't believe that it has taken me so long to feel like i was getting ripped off by orange.

Sorry to hijack a bit!

The W&W add-on, I take it I can add that on at any time, to my flext tariff (which I should get sorted either today or Monday)?

Also, will there be a revision of the current data prices in leiu of the £7.50 unlimited data? i.e. could I pay a pittance (like a couple of quid) a month and get 10MB instead of the 1MB it'd get me now?

Thanks...

leaskovski you can get your PAC from Orange any time I think. Once you give it to T-Mobile (I would ask them about this as you get your new contract), the porting process begins and can take a few days for all calls to your old number to go to the new phone.

You can add the W&W add on whenever you like.
As for the revision to data prices, would have to check whats going on, and am a tad busy atm (so wtf am I doing on here!!) but will try and find out for you.

Hahahha, slacker ;) I would really really appreciate that Iain! Am currently awaiting a call back from sales as soon as the Vario is back in stock...

Also trying to keep my tariff somewhere near the £20 mark, seeing at the moment I barely pay £15 a month, would love a good lump of data to use without having to pay another £7.50!

It's a shame I've been on U-Fix/Mix-It for a year, as it means they don't have a real tabs on my useage, so can't advise me which tariff to go for either. Bah!

Quick thread hijack, but does anyone know if calls made overseas come out of the allowance, or are they charged separately?

Thats a good question. Also what about non geographical numbers? Plus looking at all the plans and their costs, eg Flext30 - £22.50 (after 25% discount) is this including VAT? Do any of the prices on their site include VAT?

they do incl vat. i'm on flext35 which is costing me £26.25 a month.

Since everyone else is doing it I may as well start too!

I am on the T-Mob "friends and family" flext 35 tarrif at £17.50 a month so I was wondering will I get the unlimited GPRS bundle at half price too or will it cost me the full £7.50 as it is an add on?

Thanks
