Ok, here is the situation. I currently have a Flext 35 contract and a D600. I need (for work) a device to be able to connect my laptop to my work network when I'm in the field to access E-mails and files on my work server.

Is this possible and what do I need? T-Mobile customer support had me waiting for Techincal support for ages, I almost fell asleep and had to hang up! :(

Do any other mobile operators offer anything similar?

Thanks.

I'm pretty sure the web n walk T&C's are quite specific in that you shouldn't use the connection for streaming data to a computer (or VOIP for that matter), and if they see that data pattern, they'll reserve the right to cancel the service.

Most operators will offer a data connection like the one you want (Orange certainly will) but not at Web n walk prices.

Go for Web & Walk Pro & that allows you to download data through a modem connection. You get 2GB a month for a tenner. That's the deal I have just taken out with them. You need to phone up though and can't buy it through their web site.

Yes there is that one with the data card, but you can also get it with a phone if you call them. I got a MDA Vario on Relax 20 with Web & Walk Pro with the 2GB Limit for the extra £10 a month and 500 Free Texts/Month for Life. Phone was £49.99 though.
