Hi Y'all.
Does anyone know of a good External T.V. antenna for the car?

I spend hours every day waiting for flights at Heathrow and all the other Airports, so to pass the time i bought a 7" TFT telly. But the telescopic ariel is rubbish.

Some of the ones for caravans look good but are just too big, normally have to be powered and space is limited.

Your ideas please :)

You can either connect it to your radio antenna or buy a car aerial kit with a powered booster. Neither will give you fantastic quality and probably won't work with digital, but it will at least give you a better picture than the crappy built in ones the TV comes with.

You could put a full size one in the boot I guess :p

EDIT: Another option may be to buy a laptop or similar as most airports have wireless internet around them, so you might be able to browse OcUK, watch a DVD or even watch TV over the net. Bigger screen too! It would cost more to buy and also to use as network use won't be free and there might not be any coverage where you park, but it could be worth looking into?

The reception you receive will be far greater stationary than whilst moving due to the changing signal. Without building an incar PC i'm a tad unsure as to the best route really

I have absolutely no experience with TV in a car, but couldn't the actual body of the car somehow be used as a large aerial?
