Hello,
I've been informed if anybody should be able to get T1 it's my system the memory is a twin mached pair of OCZ EL DDR PC-3200 Dual Channel Platinum Rev 2 an AMD FX-57 CPU on an Asus A8N-SLI Premium motherboard,
Everything runs on stock fine I went to the OCZ site found the memory could run at CL 2-2-2-5 so changed the settings and it works fine and an increase in performance too :) then I was told the single biggest change would be to take it from T2 to T1 and then the thing wasnt so happy :(
Everything in the machine is running at stock I'm only playing with the memory timings to get that worked out first, I increased the Volts to 2.8 from 2.6 was told to do that lol no luck then I run the memory at motherboard defaults 2.5-3-3-5 but at T1 still no go :( other people I've mentioned this to are qute surprised at me having this problem with such seemingly highly acclaimed memory, has anybody got any ideas where things are going pear shaped ? ( by the way I run a climate model on it and nothing else so it runs full bore 24/7 it couldnt really face a more full on test I suppose )
any ideas would be greatfully recieved
best regards
Ian

Hi Thanks,
I can't test it on anybody elses machine easily and don't want to start fiddling with flashing the bios ( had a nightmare doing that years ago never done it since ) only bought the board brand new in April surely the bios is ok ?

anyway I'm now wondering about clocking it so don't suppose I'd get to keep to 1T settings anyway ( or am I wrong ? )

From what I can gather a nice overclock for this stuff is 436 meg at 2-3-2-7 timings ( dont know if thats at 1T or not )

mind you maybe you can have 1T at any overclock timing I'm not sure about that though ?

still if the above overclock is at 2T I know it runs at that so it should work right ?

wish my bios didn't have about 8 timmings you can change just for the memory it makes everything complicated :(

again any help would be greatly apreciated :)
best regards
Ian

Hi
Thanks for that will give it a try on 3 and 4, I can't use 1 and 3 or 2 and 4 combinations as this is dual channel memory and I think I'd loose something in performance using the odd slots :(
but I'll try 3 and 4 thanks :D
best regards
Ian
