I have just become the owner of a T2600 in its sealed box ;) Is it worth playing with and, if so, what mobo's are suitable? Or, is it worth anything as I already have a decent rig and not a lot of money to play with at present :(

I'd say sell it on, Mobo's are at least £100 if I remember, would be a decent performer as you can achieve quite decent clocks. Like you say though, you've already got the decent setup.

i'd give ya tenner for it ;)

i currently run a T2500 in a Gigabyte GA-8I945GTMF-Y-RH
Picked it up for £47 inc brand spanking new :D  :D

ZERO OCing options, but nice and cool and quite... until i stuck my 8800GTS 320 in there :D

But seroiusly, i got my T2500 of the bay a few months ago for £80 i'd imagine you'd get @ least £100

or you could build a nice & quite media pc Aopen MP945-VDR

I think you'd be lucky to get that tbh,

I have my old t2300 sitting here since I got a t7400, not worth selling for the £40 quid I'd probably get on ebay IMO, particularly when you factor in a yonah/merom motherboard as already mentioned

sell it and put money towards an e4300 or e6300

p.s those Aopen solutions are a waste of time IMO, as its only the very latest one that allows more than one mem chip, and they are seriously overpriced [thats from a Shuttle owner btw :)]

Thanks guys, I've taken the 'cheap' route and put it on thingybay
I would have liked to build a 'quiet' pc and try some o/cing on this one but I have not got the money at present :(
