Table Borders - Help

I'm looking for a bit of advice on a specific design I'm trying to achieve.

I want my table cells to have pencil-thin white borders, but with rounded edges. I've had a bit of a play in photoshop and can create the effect by using specific background images in the table cells for each individual cell size. But is there a more robust method for achieving the same result for any cell of any given dimension?

I'm obviously not that experienced, so be kind!

nope, rounded corners can only be achieved cross browser using images or javascript hacks.

At least until all the browsers support CSS3.

And css3 support looks like a way away having just read a review of the upcoming IE8 beta 2!! Now don't get me started on HTML 5 support ...
