Tablet - £300

I'm looking for a tablet for the wife for her birthday in April. It needs to be a 10" and will mainly be used for video's and net surfing.... perhaps some aps for work.

I doubt there'll be much gaming outside of the usual smart phone in vogue Angry Bird type things.



I have given myself a max budget of £300.... What are my options at that budget? Am looking at the Galaxy tab 10.1 unless anyone has a better suggestion?

For a bit more if you shop around you can get the note 10.1 which is noticably faster. I did have a tab2 but sold it before buying the note 10.1. The only thing to be careful of is the hdmi adapters are not available yet for the tab 2 and in short supply for the note 10.1.

Just checked and they are £399.99 now where I got mine from which must have gone up in the last couple of days. Seems the prices are being cranked up by the retailers to see how much profit they can squeeze out.
