Tablet for £225 ish

Hi my niece wants to get her mother a tablet and has asked me, but I know nothing about tablets other than iPads, so it will only be used for browsing, playing simple phone type games (candy crush and the like) and maybe watching Netflix, no cellular needed, it will be just like a bigger phone screen, She was looking at getting one of the Samsung Galaxy tabs but that’s all I know.
