Hello,

What's the cheapest tablet which will be good for reading full colour A4 .pdf files with a maximum of say 30 pages (aka scientific journal articles)?

Not really that bothered about storage capacity, 4gb would be plenty.

Pretty sure HUKD had a hot one for a £55 tablet yesterday......might be worth a look through the last day or so of posts ? Sounds super cheap, but seemingly not too shabby !

EDIT: check here

And get the latest version of adobe reader, it is really fluid now. Currently reading an article on stem cells and using the continuous flow mode, great to have on the go.

Hey I got the same question but with 500+ page PDF's with technical images.

Reading the reviews of the one linked in the 2nd post makes it seems rather undesirable, people saying it has a 2 hour battry life...

They all just seem so cumbersome to use, I may resort to just printing and using the money to buy some heavy duty binding machinery.

Honestly I would wait for higher resolution tablets to hit the market if you're mostly interested in reading. I really don't think the PPI of current tablets is that great for reading.
