Tablet for reading

Hi there,
I have a basic Kindle and read loads and loads. I love my Kindle, but am thinking of going over to a tablet so I can enjoy my many magazines i subscribe to on the go. Can anyone recommend a decent tablet for 90% reading, 10% Internet /email. I don't play tablet games and doubt i would watch movies. I am tempted by the new nexus 7 for the screen pixel density. Any advice, or stick with my trusty kindle for reading?
Thanks!

I may just be old & grumpy, but I struggle with a non 4:3 format for reading, so apart from my Paperwhite the iPad (either full fat or mini) is the only tablet which seems "right" to me.

Ok, a Nexus 7 or even decent phone are perfectly adequate to read off as well, but they're all glossier than a butcher's dog, whatever the screen ratio, and I find that bugs me even more than the lack of 4:3.

Now I have a Paperwhite I'm not sure I'd want to do much reading on anything else, but I don't have a magazine habit to feed, so I can understand you wanting a companion device. But I'd be reluctant to suggest to any avid reader that a normal tablet is anything other than a tolerable substitute for e-ink, even though the page turns are infinitely more natural and painless on a tablet.

That's the Kindle's biggest weakness for me. But I'm now thoroughly converted. :-)

Edit: Google are starting to scare me. I navigated away from my reply to the Guardian website, and the banner ad at the top of the page was for a Nexus7.
