Ok, I just bought myself a Gigabyte S10M
Dunno why, I guess I just wanted another Windows tablet cos my Linx died and the surface is rubbish, so we shot it.
Anyway, I have been having a laugh with this thing. It has a 60GB mSata for its storage, and when I opened it up, it has the mSata on an adapter that goes to full Sata sized space, and so great, I can fit a full sized ( but thin ) 2.5" Drive in there, so instantly, I threw in a 120GB SSD, I might splash out on bigger if I find I have a need for it, but for now, the 120GB is just great.
Now, here is the problem that I am having...
It takes Windows 8.1 Pro... I have chucked Windows 10 onto it, for testing and I have a couple of Windows 8.0 Licences that are not used anymore ( Admittedly, not the Windows 10, but if need be, I will buy one )
However, when I do install Windows, the gubbins for the keyboard, does NOT come up!
Now, I can use the Keyboard from the ease of use thingy, I can absolutely do that yes, but the TABLET version of the keyboard does not come up. It does on the 60GB mSata and Im wondering if that is a specific version of windows expecially for tablets? - Im sure it isnt, its just plain Windows 8.1 Pro, but again, why can I not get the keyboard to appear for me so I can fill in any details? - it does while Im installing... Just not once Windows is up and running?
The original 60GB mSata, has a 10GB recovery partition, with 4 .WIM files on it.
Im wondering about using thsoe to make a bootable DVD. How can that be done? Surely there must be a tutorial somewhere? I know that the BOOT.WIM is on the windows disks, and I have a Vista disk maker that also has another wheteverthisfileiscalled.WIM but there is 4 on that recovery partition.
Anyone know what the hell Im on about?
