Heya all, need a little help here!

Right, I'm looking for something for my mother to use. There is already a desktop in the house, but my younger brother is using this most of the time and my mother would like something of her own, that she can use whenever she likes!

She will be using it mainly for browsing the internet.....mostly looking up cooking recipes and emailing...etc. She sometimes likes to print these off..

Now i have no idea which is best for her... i like the idea of a tablet pc.. being able to sit on the sofa and search away... also being able to carry it into the kitchen to view the recipes.. which would mean no need for printing....

But i have no experience with tablet PCs.. and have no idea what they are capable of..

I'm also considering a netbook.. though I'm worried the screen maybe too small.. and a bit awkward..

Or even a laptop! if i can find one for the right price..

Budget around 230pounds

So question is.. Tablet PC, Netbook or Laptop!
Thanks

I'd get her a Laptop but add a hundred pound to the buy it price & you'll get one of those Bargain Laptops being advertised on Telly at the mo. Summit like a 450 quid lappy for 330, Looked a fair spec as well.

For the budget you'd be looking at a secondhand laptop or a new netbook. £230 tablets are crap. For just using round the house then I'd go for a laptop. I have a netbook and it's very portable and great to just chuck in a bag but just sat on the sofa the small low res screen is a bit annoying.

I agree; for in house use a laptop is better than a netbook. If you can wait a bit, the android 3 tablets will be out this year. These could be the ideal solution for you.

I was looking to replace my broken netbook, then i saw the new Asus EEE range which look great.. especially the Eee Slate :) Check 'em out...
